Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshunds are pint-sized dogs who seem to have no idea they're little. In fact, if you sat one down and attempted to explain just how vertically-challenged they are, they'd look at you like you're a moron and scamper off in pursuit of something far more interesting...like a chew toy. Or a squirrel in the back yard. Or a nap. Or at the very least, a more interesting conversation with someone who isn't a moron. This is precisely why I LOVE them. American Kennel Club Features RoundAbout Kennel in New Video Series
As if my dogs didn't already have egos the size of monster trucks, it has been IMPOSSIBLE to live with them since the American Kennel Club (AKC) came to film all RoundAbout for a series highlighting the nation's next generation of dog breeders.
Since the video premiered, it's been like living with the Kardasians (except without the unfortunate stupidity). They insist on being photographed when they're playing in the run, and refuse to fetch unless the throw has been cleared through their agent first. Seriously, it's getting out of hand.
In fairness though, it was a pretty big honor to be featured by the AKC. They are pretty much "The Academy" of purebred dogs - so for us, this is like getting the Oscar.

I only breed 2-3 litters per year. If I had any more than that, I probably wouldn't have time for other important things in life...like work, sleep, or posting witty Facebook updates.
