Hot Dogs.
My aim is to combine the best of British and American lines to produce a winning family of minature wirehaired dachshunds. I have been fortunate to start my breeding program with two outstanding brood bitches, and am thrilled with the quality of the offspring they have produced. But RoundAbouts are more than just pretty faces! I take great pride in their wonderful temperaments and healthy conformation. I am working hard to produce dogs with a zest for life and healthy minds and bodies that allow them to enjoy it.

"Wisty"
UK Ch. Drakesleat Mass Wisteria
Sired by the UK's all-time top-producing mini wire sire and out of the 2011 top-producing dam, Wisty was destined for greatness-- and I have been lucky enough to have been along for the ride. By the time I went to England to collect my little Wisty, she had already completed her championship (in less than a month of showing) and become England's top-winning female mini wire (breed points) for 2011. Two days before leaving England together, Wisty won best of breed at Crufts (the largest dog show in the world in an entry of 100+ mini wires)!
Achievements:
Best of Breed - Crufts (2012)
Top Bitch in UK (Breed Points) 2012
"Madison"
Gleneagle Custom Made MW
Madison's show career was cut short due to an injury, but before her retirement from the ring she turned more than a few heads. Major pointed, she was well on her way to becoming a champion here in the states. She won several group placements in Canada while still a youngster. She is full-sister to "Noah," GCH. Gleneagle Who's Famous Now, multi- Best in Show and two-time Best of Breed Winner at Westminster Kennel Club.
"Karen"
Grand Ch. RoundAbout Gleneagle
We've Only Just Begun
Karen is the first RoundAbout homebred champion-- completing her championship at only 8 months of age with all majors! She won winners bitch for a major and best of opposite sex at her first dog show when she was only 6 months and 3 days old! She completed her championship by going Winners Bitch for a five-point major at the 2013 Badger Dachshund Club Specialty Show. She took the rest of the year off to grow up, but expect to see her back in the specials ring during 2014! FLASH: Norma Rae quickly completed her AKC Grand Championship and is a group-placer!
"Norma Rae"
RoundAbout Norma Rae
Norma Rae had me at hello. She. Had. Me. At. Hello. I was there the moment when she first opened her eyes, and am pretty sure she did so with a flirtatious wink. Any girl who can shamelessly flirt from the moment she opens her eyes is definitely one to watch! Especially around boys. Just saying.
Norma Rae will be staying here at Roundabout to continue on her parent's (Robin x Wisty) winning tradition. I love her classic outline, excellent conformation, and that beautiful face. Her playful confidence is a happy bonus!
The Gentleman.
"Robin"
Ch. Drakesleat Round Robin
Robin is co-owned with my friend and mentor, Lisa Kennel. Robin was bred by Zena Thorn-Andrews of Drakesleat fame.
Before his arrival in the United States, he was UK's 2012 Dachshund Puppy of the Year. He has continued his winning ways since arriving in the United States and is now an AKC Champion!
